What up everyone I hope you all are doing fine. This week we had zone conference but we had Elder Klebingat there, from the quorum of the 70. He gave an awesome instruction and I learned a lot from him. He also cracked down on all the disobedience in the mission. He is over the Africa West area, and a lot of the missions here have problems with obedience, and He is using our mission to try and figure out the problem. It was interesting being a fresh missionary here and hearing about some of the whack stuff that other missionaries will do. Anyways his instruction was awesome and I learned a lot. I saved a lot of scriptures from the instruction that I will definitely review.
This week had its ups and downs, but mostly ups! Me and my new companion Elder Bai are terrible at taking pictures so my fault, I'll do better hahah. We taught some powerful lessons this week and are starting to find out how we can best teach together. We are starting to get to know each other too which is good but there are still some struggles but it's okay. Elder Bai is a great man and I'm happy I get to serve with him.
This Sunday we are going to get Nelson, Bismark, and Nicholas in the water! I'm so excited for them and their choices to be baptized. They are all great men and will be blessed.
Cool story with Nicholas. We taught him word of wisdom 2 weeks ago, and he told us earlier when I was with Gilbert he didn't drink. Anyways when we taught him word of wisdom he told us sometimes he will taste the drinks or drink small if he has a headache. He was completely willing to drop it though and wants to be baptized. This last week we met with him and taught him the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and extended a baptismal date for him. He accepted, and then told us he gave his bar that he works at back to his friend so he won't even have the temptation to drink again. What an extreme amount of faith. I thought it was so cool that he is willing to take that step, and sacrifice a way to earn money, in order to continue to come closer to Christ. I'm so proud of him and I know he will be blessed for his decision. He could have kept it, and still sold alcohol, but instead he decided decided get rid of the temptation completely.
Me and Elder Bai bought a basketball so we can go ball at this high school on Pdays so I'm about to go Ball haha. Hopefully the court is nice I have never seen it but I doubt it's nice. Its okay though, it'll be nice to play some ball!
