Hey what's up everyone? It's my second week in the field and I'm loving it! My companion is Elder Gilbert from Preston Idaho. Me and him have a lot in common so we get along well. I'm in a city called Nkawkaw. Let me tell ya, Africa is nuts. The roads and the way the cities are put together are crazy. I'm in the only area in the mission that has mountains so that is nice. It stays a little colder here because of that. The people here are happy and humble even though the living circumstances are unlike anything I've ever seen.

On my first day proselyting,  I saw a few things I wish I hadn't but it's okay we don't need to talk about it๐Ÿ˜‚. We went and contacted for a little bit and then taught A bunch of kids. Out of those kids there were two 14 year Olds named Rawuf, and Quinsla. Both are super interested in the gospel and Rawuf knows the Book of Mormon is true now. We found out later this week that Rawuf is Muslim, but he told us his parents aren't hard-core and he can choose what religion he wants to follow. We are hoping and praying his parents are chill. If his parents are chill I think we really can progress in teaching him. I have high hopes for Rawuf. That night we also had a man named Isaac show up at the church saying he has been taught before by missionaries and wants to be taught again and join the church. We made and appointment for the next day but we got there late and couldn't find him. He has our phone number, but we haven't heard from him since, and he didn't come to church yesterday. I hope we find him again.

Most of our contacting involves going around and helping people. There's always work to do here whether it's pounding fufu, driving banku, or washing clothes or dishes. Everyday we are helping people with something. I love serving the people here.

We also taught a powerful lesson to a man named Neilson, and his friend Ephraim this week. Nielson can't read English, but Ephraim knows the Bible like the back of his hand. Anyway Ephraim was asking some pretty crazy questions, and me and Elder Gilbert were definitely guided by the Spirit as we answered his questions. I whipped out a random scriptures twice to answer a two of his questions. I know that was the spirit helping me out. One of them was 1 Peter 4:6 and the other one was 2 Nephi 30. At the end of the lesson Nielson and Ephraim both said they want to be baptized. By the way these men were being taught by Elder Gilbert and his last companion before I got here. It was a way cool experience. Pray that as we finish teaching the rest of the lessons that everything will go smoothly and they will be baptized.

We also got to drive banku for a member this week and eat some, and we bought the ingredients for Fufu and Clemintina, an investigator, helped us pound and make it. Pray for Ckemintina, especially her husband. He doesn't like us missionaries. If her husband would open his heart to us she would be baptized and so would he. Every time Clemintina has us over her husband leaves. Hopefully she will get him to stay one of these times.

Other than that it's been fun learning how to cook for myself and sleep in this heat. We carry outbound sweat rags we sweat so much. All my shirts are gonna be yellow in a few months haha. There's lizards, chickens, cats, and goats everywhere here it's kinda funny. This place looks like Hawaii but smells like the pig pen.

I love this place and the people.
