Well my second week in the field was pretty crazy. On Tuesday we had a pretty normal day. Regular lessons, and throughout the week we made progress with Joseph, Ephraim, and Neilson. Joseph is on baptismal date, and Ephraim and Neilson are going to get baptized near the end of the transfer, they just need to come to church for the next two Sundays. The first time they made it to church was this last Sunday. Ephraim and Neilson we on lesson 3 when I got here so I've been able to see them grow by acting in faith, which has been so cool to see.

On Wednesday we went to help a member kill a pig and butcher it, and then some missionaries bought some of the meat. I didn't buy any. All I will say about it is that they don't have slaughter houses like the U.S. so it was hard to watch. The members name was Mormon which I thought was so cool! He also had a pet monkey which was actually so dope but the monkey was scared of us because we were white haha. Speaking of that, there's a lot of babies that will lose their minds and get super scared because they've never seen a white person it's kind of funny.

Thursday and Friday were pretty normal days full of contacting and teaching appointments. On Thursday night we noticed that our neighbor/landlords 3 month old dog was sick... on Saturday morning one of the other missionaries with us in our 4 man apartment told us that the dog "gilberta" died. We were pretty sad.

Saturday was the busiest day I've had here yet. Me and Elder Gilbert were so tired by the end of the day and it carried into Sunday as well. We got up and went with a member named Michael to his farm at 7am. His farm was up on the mountain in the forest. They basically plant stuff on their land in the forest and call it a farm haha. I got tons of pics though because he showed us around all his land and it was basically a way cool hike. It reminded me of Hawaii. After he showed us everything we took some cool pictures and hacked at some plants with machetes. After that we got to dig holes and plant about 100 plantain trees. It was hard work and way fun to help him out. We were done at 10:30 and then we had a full day of appointments until 5:30. We were exhausted by the end of the day. When we got back home we said sorry to our neighbors about their dog Gilberta. They were confused and said she was still alive out back. They did not know what to do or how to take care of her so we went back and found her in the weeds on the brink of death. She hadn't ate or drank for 2 days. We got her to the front porch and she couldn't even move or hold her head up. We took some plastic sacks and mixed up some milk, calcium tablet, and a doxy and fed it to her through a small hole. Sunday morning we noticed she had regained some strength. She could hold her head up but still can't move. We fed her again, and noticed that she had a large amount of worms... after church we went to a pharmacy and found some de-worming pills and have been giving her microdoses cause she is a very small puppy. Today we noticed the worms are dying and she used the bathroom for the first time in awhile. She still can't move but we gave her a bath and cleaned her up. Hopefully she starts feeling better soon and regaining strength. We said a prayer for her on Saturday night with her owner's family (they are not members) and she has been slowly getting better. Their family is super grateful for us and happy we are helping save their dog.

Today we did our laundry and cleaned, and are about to eat fufu with an investigator named Marium, so pray for me, this stuff is mad spicy. Like it will light you on fire🤣

Love and miss all of you.
